I’m appalled by the number of ‘Kpop fans’ who don’t know who BoA is. BoA Kwon isn’t called Asia’s Star for no reason; she’s had a total of 11 number one albums in Japan and Korea combined. And above all else, she was the start of the Hallyu wave. BoA was only 13 when she debuted and only 14 when she went to Japan all by herself to promote her music. She promoted single after single in a country where she barely spoke the language, without her friends and family there to support her. Without BoA’s hard work, Big Bang, SNSD, KARA, none of them would be half as famous as they are now in Japan.
BoA Kwon always was and forever will be the Queen of Kpop.
